The COMP Cams ID Spring Seats are designed to address the shortcomings of older style standard shims, which often fail under the extreme spring pressures and high RPMs of modern racing engines. These thin, hardened steel alloy seats protect the cylinder head and shims, while also precisely locating and holding the valve spring in place. They feature an inside diameter (I.D.) locator with the locating shoulder on the interior of the part, making installation easier and improving overall performance.
