The pushrod is a critical component of the valvetrain, requiring strength to prevent failure, bending, or burning at the ends. It must also harmonize with the frequency of other valvetrain parts and the engine's operating RPM. COMP Cams Hi-Tech Pushrods are designed for high-performance race engines, featuring a one-piece construction from .080" wall, seamless chromemoly tubing for ultimate strength and durability. The ends are precision-formed for added thickness and strength in the critical tip area, maintaining constant wall thickness and concentricity. These pushrods are heat-treated for maximum strength and compatibility with guide plates. They are O.D. ground for consistency and have a black-oxide finish with the length and part number laser-etched for easy identification.
