These new Tool Steel Retainers from COMP Cams have a 7&deg

CNC-machined for consistency, this 7 degree tool steel retainer features light weight, exceptional strength and wear characteristics. Fits 8mm valve engines with a 1.290" O.D. spring such as our 26926 springs.

MIA's Description

The COMP Cams 1779-1 is a tool steel valve spring retainer designed for demanding engine applications. It offers lightweight construction and excellent wear characteristics, providing 30 percent greater strength than conventional chromoly steel retainers.

This retainer is manufactured from high-grade tool steel, ensuring reliability for your valvetrain. It features a 7-degree lock style and a standard retainer style. The retainer has an outside diameter of 1.290 inches for the outer spring and an inside diameter of 0.930 inches for the inner spring. It is designed for dual springs per valve and fits 8mm stems. The product is sold individually.
