The Rotrex C15-16 is an extremely compact centrifugal supercharger designed to boost a wide variety of applications where size is a critical factor. Utilizing a patented hi-speed planetary traction drive, it achieves impressive impeller speeds of up to 201,500 rpm, delivering an exceptional power-to-size ratio and setting industry standards for efficiency, low noise, and minimal vibration. This supercharger is primarily designed for four-stroke gasoline engines but can also be adapted for two-stroke or diesel engines, supporting engine outputs up to 175kW (approximately 235hp) depending on the specific application. The C15-16 model is particularly well-suited for engines up to 1.2 liters and can provide peak horsepower outputs in the 30-140 BHP range, with a power range of 60-125kW (82-170hp) stated in some documentation. Key features include an integrated dual-action oil pump that functions as both a dry sump scavenging and oil supply pump, allowing for flexible installation without altering the vehicle's existing oil system. The supercharger requires specific Rotrex SX150 traction fluid for optimal performance and durability. Options for unit-only purchase or a package including oil, filter, and hoses are available, though a pulley and oil cooler are sold separately and may be necessary for installation.
