Compact Engine Control Unit with 8-Cylinder Sequential

Developed through extensive research and testing, it offers a smaller footprint that facilitates installation, potentially behind the kick panel without requiring cutting. This ECU provides a superior number of inputs and outputs when compared to units such as the MS3X and Haltech Elite 750, making it suitable for complex engine builds. Key features of the STM PRO ECU include an integrated 4 BAR MAP sensor, a dual VR conditioner for selectable VR or HALL sensor input (ensuring a cleaner crank/cam signal), and 8 injector outputs. It also offers 8 ignition outputs with selectable 5/12v for coils with ignitors (smart coils), enabling sequential spark for up to 8 cylinders. For advanced control, it includes 4 high-current outputs (configurable for VVT, boost, and idle control), one 12-volt positive high-side output capable of driving V-Tech solenoids, and 3 low-current outputs for fuel pump, fan, and auxiliary functions, totaling 13 high-current and 3 low-current outputs. Further expanding its capabilities, the STM PRO ECU features 4 additional 0-5v linear analog inputs for sensors like oil and fuel pressure (also configurable as temp resistor jumpers), and a total of 9 external analog inputs including essential sensors like Air, CLT, TPS, and O2. It also has an internal Barometric pressure sensor, a flex fuel input, and 3 digital inputs for VSS and other signals. The ECU includes a selectable 5v-12v tach output and a 4-wire stepper idle control plug, which can also be utilized for three medium current outputs. The system supports 16x16 tables for injection, ignition, and AFR target maps, and features CAN Bus communication, including OBD2 support.
