Constructed from a massive 25.5mm tubular 4130 chrome moly material, this bar weighs a mere 5.5 pounds, offering a significant weight savings over comparable solid sway bars. This competition-spec sway bar features three distinct adjustment positions, allowing drivers to fine-tune their vehicle's balance for different driving conditions. The softest setting provides a more neutral balance, while the middle setting aids in mid-corner stability, and the stiffest setting is optimized for very slow, tight corners, promoting a rear-steer feel. The bar's hollow construction contributes to its lightweight design without compromising performance. Installation is made easier with the included grease-able polyurethane bushings, bushing brackets, and 90-degree zerk fittings for straightforward lubrication. The bar is CNC bent for a precise fit. The effective rate of the bar is comparable to a solid 22mm bar, but with reduced weight. This sway bar is compatible with a wide range of MINI Cooper models across Gen1 and Gen2 platforms, including the R50, R53, R52, R55, R56, R57, R58, and R59 generations, spanning model years from 2002 through 2015. Specific fitment details include various Cooper, Cooper S, JCW, Clubman, Convertible, Coupe, and Roadster variants within these generations. Rate increases over stock are noted as +226%, +294%, and +383% for the rear.
