Competition Adjustable Rear Sway Bar

The Steeda Competition Adjustable Rear Sway Bar is a direct bolt-on replacement designed to provide balanced handling performance for 2005 and newer Mustangs. Its beefy 1.25-inch diameter bar significantly increases rear roll stiffness, leading to improved steering response, elimination of understeer, and a more balanced feel during spirited driving. Constructed from a steel alloy, this sway bar features billet machined aluminum end links with higher durometer urethane bushings for enhanced durability and reduced deflection. The bar ends are machined from solid billet steel, offering superior strength and resistance to bending stresses compared to coined ends, which helps prevent cracking and fatigue failure. This design also minimizes unwanted geometry changes caused by deflection, ensuring the sway bar maintains its intended stiffness for longer. Developed through advanced vehicle dynamics simulation and real-world testing, Steeda's bar rates are optimized to control roll stiffness effectively while allowing for softer spring rates.
