Show original supplier description

The VRSF Competition HD Front Mount Intercooler is designed to replace the inefficient factory intercooler in select 2016-2019 BMW models equipped with B46, B48, and B58 engines. This upgrade aims to enhance performance and reliability by maintaining lower intake air temperatures and preventing heat soak, which is a common issue with the stock unit. By effectively cooling the charged air from the turbo, this intercooler helps prevent power loss and reduces the potential for pre-detonation or knock, especially when running higher boost levels associated with tunes. The core component of this intercooler is its high-density, dual-pass bar and plate design. The unit features a durable black powder-coated finish and comes with CNC-machined, plug-and-play fittings for straightforward installation. VRSF states that this intercooler is compatible with any chargepipe currently on the market. This VRSF intercooler replaces the OEM BMW part number 17118741830. It is compatible with the following BMW vehicles: - 2016-2019 F20/F21 BMW M140i & M140i xDrive (B58 engine) - 2016-2019 F20/F21 BMW 120i & M125i (Including xDrive) (B46 & B48 engines) - 2016-2019 F22/F23 BMW M240i & M240i xDrive (B58 engine) - 2016-2019 F22/F23 BMW 220i & 230i (Including xDrive) (B46 & B48 engines) - 2016-2019 F30/F31 BMW 340i & 340i xDrive (B58 engine) - 2016-2019 F30/F31 BMW 320i & 330i (Including xDrive) (B46 & B48 engines) - 2016-2019 F32/F33/F36 BMW 440i & 440i xDrive (B58 engine) - 2016-2019 F32/F33/F36 BMW 420i & 430i (Including xDrive) (B46 & B48 engines) Note that this intercooler fits both Left Hand Drive and Right Hand Drive models. VRSF backs this product with a lifetime warranty and a satisfaction guarantee covering fitment and defects, and each unit is hand-finished and pressure tested prior to shipment.
