Competition HD Intercooler Upgrade Kit

This upgrade is crucial for vehicles tuned for higher boost levels, as the OEM intercooler is prone to heat soak, which can reduce horsepower and increase the risk of pre-detonation. The core of the VRSF HD intercooler utilizes a proprietary bar and plate design with a dense, staggered, and offset internal and external fin pack. This construction maximizes surface area for superior heat absorption and dissipation, leading to significant reductions in intake air temperatures. The kit is available in two sizes: a 5" Performance HD core supporting up to 600whp and a 6.5" Competition HD core supporting up to 800whp. The core is also more durable than the stock tube-and-fin design, offering better resistance to road debris. The intercooler features tabs for retaining the factory fan shroud and cast end tanks optimized for compatibility with both OEM and aftermarket charge pipes. A thermal dispersant coating is applied after pressure testing to ensure a leak-free experience and provide enhanced protection against environmental factors. The kit includes a lifetime warranty. This intercooler upgrade is compatible with a wide range of BMW models, including the F30/F31/F36 3 Series (320i, 328i, 335i and their xDrive variants), F32/F33 4 Series (428i, 435i and their xDrive variants), F22/F23 2 Series (228i, M235i and their xDrive variants), F20/F21 1 Series, and the F87 M2. However, note that F23 and F33 models are limited to the 5" Street intercooler only.
