Competition Header and Cat-Back Exhaust System

The Soul Performance Competition Exhaust Package is engineered to replace the restrictive factory exhaust system on your Porsche 986 Boxster, offering a significant upgrade in both performance and sound. This comprehensive system integrates headers and a cat-back exhaust to maximize power gains and produce an aggressive, refined engine note suitable for a Porsche. It specifically targets the power-inhibiting components of the OEM system, such as the restrictive catalytic converters and squashed primary tubing found in the factory headers, as well as the secondary catalytic converters in the mid-pipes. The cat-back section utilizes mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel tubing and fortified mufflers, meticulously designed to eliminate droning even with aftermarket catless headers. The package includes bespoke mounting brackets, clamps, and new high-grade hardware for the header-to-exhaust flanges. Thorough installation instructions are provided. However, specific modifications are required: trimming of the inner fender liner and exhaust heat shield is necessary on all vehicles. Additionally, the headlight auto-leveling sensor may need to be disabled or removed, and rerouting of the brake hard line may be necessary to protect it from heat. Due to these requirements, professional installation is strongly recommended. This exhaust package is not CARB certified and may not be legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles; it is intended for closed-course competition use only. Removal of factory catalytic converters may trigger a check engine light, and O2 Spacers are available to mitigate this. A custom ECU tune is also suggested to disable any check engine lights, specifically for track use.
