Competition Intake Plenum 82mm

The IPD 81482-3.8 is a competition intake plenum engineered to enhance the performance of the 3.8L engine found in the 2013-2016 Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder. This competition plenum upgrades the factory 74mm throttle body to a larger 82mm unit, similar to the 997 GT3 throttle body. The "Y" diversion area within the IPD Plenums splits and channels intake airflow, which helps to reduce air flow turbulence and increase air flow velocity. This design aims to improve engine performance by increasing airflow and reducing intake restriction. The IPD 81482-3.8 Competition Plenum is reported to provide power gains of approximately 20 horsepower and 16 foot-pounds of torque. These improvements are sustained above the factory power curves throughout the entire rev range, with significant gains realized around 4,000 RPM and continuing to redline, especially near 6,000 RPM. A custom IPD silicone hose is included with the purchase of this plenum.
