The Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler is engineered to significantly enhance the charge cooling capabilities for BMW F07/F10/F11 520i and 528i models produced from 2010 onwards. With a core size of 500mm x 254mm x 110mm, this intercooler boasts an 83% increase in frontal area and a 62% increase in volume compared to the stock unit. Wagner Tuning has focused on optimizing both the intercooler core size and efficiency, along with improving the end tank design to remove any OEM bottlenecks. This results in improved flow capacity and superior charge cooling performance. The use of a Competition Core, combined with cast aluminum optimized by CAD, ensures high cooling performance while maintaining a light weight of 7.4kg. Flow analyses and simulations were utilized to optimize the internal airflow design for maximum efficiency. This intercooler is presented as the optimal choice for achieving performance gains and maintaining low intake temperatures, with the added benefit of less pressure drop than the OEM intercooler. It features an anti-corrosion protective coating for excellent thermal heat dissipation. This kit is designed for a 100% perfect fit and is ready for installation, easily replacing the OEM intercooler.
