The Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler Kit is designed to optimize the performance of VAG 2.0TSI vehicles equipped with the EA888 Gen.4 engine. By replacing the restrictive 9-liter factory intercooler with a 17.7-liter high-performance core, this kit provides superior charge air cooling and reduces backpressure, allowing the engine to operate more efficiently under demanding conditions. The intercooler utilizes a "Tube Fine" core design and CAD-optimized cast aluminum end boxes with an integrated air guide to ensure even airflow. Weighing 9.2 kg, the assembly is protected by an anti-corrosion coating that also enhances heat transfer properties. The 70mm inlet and outlet diameters further contribute to improved flow characteristics compared to the OEM component. Installation is designed as a direct-fit replacement for the stock intercooler. The kit includes the intercooler, two silicone hoses, four hose clamps, mounting hardware, and assembly instructions.
