Description

The Hooker Headers 520-2457 Competition Long Tube Headers are designed for enhanced exhaust flow and performance. Constructed from durable 16-gauge steel, these headers feature 2" x 27" primary tubes and a 3.5" x 10" collector. The metallic ceramic coating provides durability and resistance to high temperatures. These headers are engineered for specific Chevrolet big block applications, including 1965-1970 Chevrolet Passenger/Wagon and Bel Air, 1968-1974 Chevy II/Nova, and 1967-1969 Camaro models with 396-502 cubic inch engines. Some applications may require modifications or adjustments for optimal fitment. Installation notes indicate that ceramic-coated headers require several heat cycles to fully cure. Additionally, these headers will not fit Turbo 400 transmissions unless the trans crossmember is set back 2 inches at the mount, and they will not accommodate a power take-off. Some installations may require massaging or dimpling of the header tubes, particularly if power steering is present.
