Competition Oil Cooler Kit for N54/N55

The Evolution Racewerks Competition Oil Cooler System is engineered to address the high oil temperatures generated by BMW's N54 and N55 engines, which can lead to oil breakdown and reduced engine longevity. This system directly combats these issues by dramatically increasing oil cooling capacity. It features two substantial oil coolers, each measuring 11"x8"x2" with a core size of 9"x8"x2", providing a total of 144 cubic inches of core volume per cooler. This represents a 3.5 times larger capacity than the stock oil cooler, which only offers 41 cubic inches. Constructed with durability and performance in mind, the oil coolers are mounted within a protective box enclosure. This enclosure is designed with louvers that allow essential airflow to reach the coolers while simultaneously shielding them from damaging road debris, a crucial feature developed from harsh racing conditions. Installation is made straightforward as the kit includes all necessary hardware, eliminating the need to source additional parts. For enhanced efficiency, optional aluminum or carbon fiber shrouding kits are available to direct airflow through the oil cooler cores, though these are specific to the car model and front bumper. For early 2006 BMW 335i models that did not come factory-equipped with an oil cooler, a conversion kit is available to adapt the oil filter housing.
