The Ferrea Competition Plus Individual Intake Valve (F1826P) is engineered for high-performance applications in the 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8/9 models. This intake valve is constructed from specialized aerospace-quality alloys, such as EV8-Z18, chosen for their superior tensile strength and durability under demanding conditions. The manufacturing process begins with an exclusive two-step slow forging technique, which meticulously controls grain flow, thereby minimizing material structure damage. Following the forging, each valve is subjected to an extensive 48-hour heat treatment and stress-relieving cycle. This critical step establishes the molecular integrity necessary for extreme operational environments. The valve is then finished with avionics-quality hard chrome for enhanced wear resistance and a specially applied hard tip to further bolster its robustness.
