The Scat 1-42370 is a BB Chevy 540 competition rotating assembly. It features a 4340 forged steel crankshaft with a 4.250 stroke and 6.385 H-beam rods.

This assembly includes Mahle forged -3cc flat top pistons and a 2-piece rear main seal. The kit is unbalanced and requires balancing before installation. It offers compression ratios of 9.8:1 with 112cc heads, 9.4:1 with 118cc heads, and 9.0:1 with 124cc heads.

The Scat 1-42370 is a competition rotating assembly designed for BB Chevy 540ci engines. This kit includes a robust 4340 forged steel crankshaft with a 4.250-inch stroke, paired with 6.385-inch H-beam connecting rods featuring 7/16-inch cap screws. Included are Mahle forged flat top pistons with a -3cc dish, suitable for various compression ratios depending on cylinder head volume. The assembly also comes with performance rod and main bearings, and a premium performance ring set with Plasmamoly facing. The rear main seal is a 2-piece design. This rotating assembly is sold as unbalanced and requires professional balancing before installation. Compression ratios can be achieved at 9.8:1 with 112cc heads, 9.4:1 with 118cc heads, and 9.0:1 with 124cc heads. The kit is compatible with Chevy BB applications and uses pistons with stock bore and oversize.
