Competition Series 3.5" Catless Downpipe

The Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Downpipe is engineered for enhanced performance on select BMW N55 engines. Constructed from 100% 304-grade stainless steel, this downpipe features 100% TIG-welded joints for superior durability and quality. Its design incorporates a precision CNC-machined V-band flange that mates directly with the factory turbocharger turbine housing, and mandrel-bent 4-inch piping to ensure smooth exhaust gas flow. This downpipe aims to significantly reduce turbo backpressure by utilizing longer transitions and a larger pipe diameter immediately after the turbocharger. This reduction in exhaust turbulence and backpressure leads to improved throttle response and faster turbocharger spool times, offering a more immediate and responsive driving experience. It is compatible with both factory and aftermarket exhaust systems and includes all necessary hardware for installation. Fitment is specific to BMW N55 engines. For the 335i (U.S. Spec), this BM-EXH007 model is compatible with vehicles produced up to 07/13, featuring a 3.5" inlet. Vehicles produced after 07/13 require a different downpipe (BM-EXH012) with a 4" inlet. Similarly, the 435i, M235i, and all M2 models utilize the 4" inlet downpipe (BM-EXH012). For M135i (European Spec), this BM-EXH007 model fits production up to 07/13 (3.5" inlet), while later models require the BM-EXH-012 (4" inlet). Vehicles built precisely on 07/13 may have either downpipe, necessitating VIN verification or visual inspection. Optional features include a high-flow race catalytic converter, a polished finish, a black thermal coating to reduce underhood temperatures, an additional O2 sensor bung for wideband sensors, and an EGT sensor bung for exhaust gas temperature gauges.
