Competition Series 4" Downpipe

The Evolution Racewerks 4" Competition Series Downpipe is engineered for BMW N20 engines, including the 125i, 228i, 320i, 328i, and 428i models from 2012 onwards. It is constructed from 100% stainless steel with 100% TIG-welded seams for durability and features a precision CNC machined turbocharger V-Band flange. The 4" mandrel-bent piping ensures a smooth transition to the rest of the exhaust system. A key design feature is the inclusion of a stainless steel flex section, mirroring the factory setup to allow for proper exhaust movement and prevent undue stress on components like the turbocharger and exhaust manifold. This helps to mitigate premature wear and tear, especially in cases where the exhaust system may contact the ground. This downpipe offers an average horsepower gain of 14-16 whp and torque gains of 16-24 wtq, depending on vehicle modifications and software upgrades. It aims to improve the power curve, increase initial torque, and provide better throttle response with faster turbo spool times. The downpipe is available in mirror polish or brush finishes, with an optional high-temperature black thermal coating to reduce underhood temperatures. Optional features include an additional O2 sensor bung for wideband sensors and an EGT sensor bung for exhaust gas temperature gauges, both coming with pre-installed plugs. It is compatible with factory or aftermarket exhaust systems and includes all necessary hardware for installation.
