Competition Y-Pipe Plenum 82mm Throttle Body Upgrade

The IPD Competition Intake Plenum is engineered to significantly enhance airflow for your Porsche 981 Cayman S, GTS, or GT4 with the 3.4L engine. This intake replaces the factory's restrictive, T-shaped inlet with IPD's patented Y-shaped design, which funnels air more efficiently and prevents it from hitting a dead stop, thereby dramatically increasing air velocity. Constructed from cast aluminum and finished with a polished surface, this plenum is designed to work seamlessly with the 997 GT3 82mm throttle body (sold separately), replacing the stock 74mm unit. This combination has been proven to deliver substantial performance gains. The internal dimpling on the plenum's surface is a key innovation, creating controlled turbulence that reduces air friction and allows air to tumble more efficiently over the surface, similar to a dimpled golf ball. Installation is described as straightforward, with professional installation recommended but achievable by a mechanically inclined owner. The plenum connects directly to the stock throttle body.
