The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2098B is a remanufactured complete axle assembly built to high standards of precision and reliability. This assembly includes a 3.42 gear ratio, a GM 7.6-inch ring gear, and 5-lug axles, featuring G80 Posi-Traction for enhanced performance. It is designed for 1998-2003 4x4 Chevrolet S10 and GMC S15 vehicles. Each Zumbrota axle assembly undergoes a rigorous inspection process. This includes checks for housing straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, such as ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque. The assembly is set to the correct gear backlash for proper lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process for both internal and external parts. This ensures the housing is returned to OEM finish and sets a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies. The product does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
