The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-225A-P is a remanufactured complete axle assembly built to exacting standards for precision and reliability. It is designed for the 2009 GM Van 3500, featuring a 3.73 gear ratio and the GM 14 Bolt 9.5 Inch ring gear. This assembly includes the G80 Posi Traction (limited-slip differential) for enhanced traction. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain thoroughly inspects all internal components, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are meticulously set for optimal tooth contact, correct rolling torque, and proper backlash to ensure longevity and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications, and housings are tested for wear and cracks. Zumbrota employs a rigorous cleaning process, including hydro-blasting and sandblasting, followed by a proprietary shot-peening deep cleaning procedure. This axle assembly is specifically configured for models without the Active Brake Control Option JL4. It is also not compatible with Cutaway Cab configurations or Semi-Float Axles.
