The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1873-P is a remanufactured complete axle assembly designed for 1996-2002 GM 3500 Cutaway Vans with single rear wheels. It features a 3.73 gear ratio and a G80 Posi Traction limited-slip differential, ensuring enhanced traction. Each Zumbrota axle assembly undergoes rigorous inspection and rebuilding processes. This includes verifying the straightness of axle tubes, inspecting housings for wear and cracks, and a 100% inspection of all internal components such as ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. Zumbrota utilizes a proprietary cleaning process involving hydro-blasting and sandblasting to restore housings to OEM finish. Gears are meticulously set for precise tooth contact patterns, correct rolling torque measured in inch-pounds for longevity, and proper backlash for quiet operation and lubrication. The assembly is for GM 14 Bolt trucks with a 10.5-inch ring gear and is specifically for cutaway cab models.
