Complete Axle Assembly

This assembly features an 8.8" IFS (Independent Front Suspension) with a 3.73 gear ratio, making it a direct fit for vehicles requiring this specification. Each Zumbrota axle assembly is meticulously remanufactured through a rigorous inspection process. This includes checks for straightness, crack detection, and surface wear analysis. Internally, every component, from the ring and pinions to the clutches and carriers, is subjected to a 100% inspection. Furthermore, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new ones for optimal performance and longevity. Zumbrota pays close attention to the precise setup of the gears. They utilize inch-pound measurements to achieve the correct rolling torque and set the gear backlash accurately, which contributes to both a quieter ride and proper lubrication. The housings are restored to an OEM finish using an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting method, emphasizing both aesthetics and functional reliability. To ensure the product arrives in excellent condition, each assembly is packed in high-density plastic totes. This axle assembly is compatible with various Ford F-150 trims from 2006-2008, such as the FX4, King Ranch, and Harley-Davidson editions, as well as the Lincoln Mark LT during the same model years.
