HushMat's sound deadening and thermal insulation material reduces engine, exhaust, road noise, and vibration, and dissipates heat. It improves AC system load, making the vehicle cooler in summer and warmer in winter (over 40% temperature reduction in an independent study). Reduces noise levels by up to 15 decibels. This peel-and-stick, self-extinguishing material (meets FMVSS 302) is custom measured and prepackaged for specific vehicles to provide 100% insulation coverage for the firewall, doors, floor, tunnel, rear wheel wells, trunk floor, and roof. It is moisture and corrosion resistant, and lightweight.
