The Skunk2 Composite Cold Air Intake is engineered for the 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si, leveraging experience from championship-winning racing teams. Constructed from molded polymer plastic, this intake system provides superior insulation against heat soak compared to aluminum alternatives, resulting in lower intake air temperatures. A larger diameter connector is available separately for use with Skunk2 or similar throttle bodies. Skunk2's design positions the air filter facing downward, offering approximately two inches of additional ground clearance and reducing the risk of water ingestion during wet conditions. Unlike some other intake systems, this design does not require cutting or modifying the factory fender liners and retains the OEM battery and all factory sensors, ensuring a no-compromise installation. Installation is described as moderate DIY, taking approximately 1.0–1.5 hours, and includes silicone couplers, clamps, composite tubing, and a high-flow filter, with no ECU tune or cutting required.
