The Callies Compstar SAF113-CM is a mid-weight crankshaft engineered for Chevrolet Small Block applications, offering a compelling balance of performance and value for both racing and high-performance street use. Crafted from robust 4340 forged steel, this crankshaft undergoes meticulous finish work and quality control at Callies' facility to ensure dimensional stability and reliability under demanding conditions. Key specifications include a 3.480" stroke, a 350 main journal size, and a 2.100" rod journal diameter, designed for compatibility with 5.700" or longer connecting rods. The crankshaft features a 2-piece rear main seal and is internally balanced. For enhanced durability, especially in abusive environments like dirt track racing, the Compstar cranks are deep nitride hardened. The design includes properly placed counterweights that not only aid in balance but also help reduce bearing loads. Additionally, all rod journals are drilled, and counterweights are profiled to provide necessary piston clearance, ensuring optimal performance.
