Description

This 8-counterweight crankshaft is constructed from deep-nitrided 4340 steel, ensuring exceptional strength and durability to withstand the rigors of high-output installations. Designed with counterweights for superior bearing load distribution, this crankshaft is built to endure high boost and RPM conditions. It features precision machining with large journal radii, gun-drilled mains, and fully lightened rod journals for optimized performance. The design accommodates either late LS2 – LS7 58-tooth or early LS1 – LS6 style twin timing wheels, allowing compatibility with different engine control systems. For dry sump LS7 style engines, an extended length post is available for seamless integration. Compstar crankshafts are rough balanced to 1850 grams and can be finish balanced to specific bob weight requirements. This component is intended for high-output installations where strength and wearability are paramount.
