FP Diesel pistons feature a metallurgically bonded Ni-resist insert in the top ring groove to minimize groove wear and reduce pound-out. They also include anodized heads and graphite-coated skirts for enhanced durability in severe applications. A patented magnesium-phosphate coating helps reduce corrosion from high-sulfate diesel fuels and break-in wear.
