Description

The Clevite HX-series coated rod bearing set is designed for 1989-2002 Dodge 5.9L Cummins engines. Developed for high-output diesel builds, these bearings offer enhanced survival during cold starts and oil starvation. They feature a hardened steel back with thin overlay, medium eccentricity, and high crush, along with enlarged chamfers for crankshaft fillet clearance. The HX series provides an additional .001" clearance over the H base, suitable for builds with journals on the edge of spec or for increased oil film thickness during high RPM operation.
