Constant Orifice Pushrod Seat

The Comp Cams 812-1 High Energy Hydraulic Lifter is engineered to provide precise oil delivery to the rocker arms, ensuring optimal valvetrain performance. This lifter utilizes a patented constant orifice metering valve that maintains continuous contact with the pushrod seat, effectively eliminating excessive oiling during high engine speed operation. Constructed from a durable powdered metal iron alloy, the pushrod seat is heat-treated for enhanced strength and wear resistance. The lifter also incorporates a lightweight check valve disc, which allows for quicker response and increased engine speed before valve float occurs. Furthermore, this disc ensures consistent control across all engine speeds and loads. Compared to conventional hydraulic lifters, the Comp Cams High Energy Hydraulic Lifter features a longer piston. This design increases the load-bearing surface area, contributing to greater lifter longevity and reliability. The lifters are sold individually and are designed for Chevrolet Small/Big Block, 348-409 engines, as well as 194-292 and 200-262 V6 engines.
