This controller allows the OEM FSCM to manage the primary pump while the Ally DualX controller "piggybacks" to manage the secondary pump, receiving commands from the FSCM's pulsed wire, eliminating the need for user programming or adjustments in this setup. The controller addresses the limitations of OEM FSCMs, which often lack the necessary electrical capacity and appropriate wiring terminal size for multiple fuel pumps, thereby preventing common diagnostic trouble codes (MIL codes). For vehicles equipped with aftermarket ECMs (e.g., Holley Terminator, Dominator), the Ally DualX functions as a high-power fuel pump driver module, accepting pulsed signals to regulate pump speed (e.g., 50% duty cycle for idle/cruise, 100% for full power).
