The BMW Genuine Parts stabilizer rubber mounting is engineered as a direct replacement for your vehicle's rear sway bar. This component is crucial for reducing friction and noise by providing a soft mount for the stabilizer bar to the undercarriage. It works by absorbing and dampening the articulation of the sway bar and its connections to the rest of the suspension system. Over time, these rubber bushings can degrade and crack, leading to common failure symptoms such as squeaking or clunking noises, particularly when driving over uneven surfaces or cornering. A worn bushing can also manifest as a loose or unresponsive steering wheel, or the vehicle pulling to one side. This Genuine BMW part is manufactured to stringent standards in Austria, ensuring it meets the same quality as the original equipment used when your vehicle was built. This stabilizer bar bushing has a diameter of 16.5mm and is also known by the terms Bushings or Stabilizer Bar Bushing. The OE numbers associated with this part are 33552229604 and 33552229137. Two of these bushings are required per vehicle. This part is specifically designed for the 2000-2003 BMW M5 Sedan (E39).
