Control Arms

The Thuren Fabrication control arms are designed as a significant upgrade for solid axle Dodge Ram trucks, offering superior strength and improved tire clearance compared to OEM components. The proprietary Self-Centering joints, made with 17-4 Stainless Steel pivots, prevent rocking and frame/axle rubbing, while also resisting crushing and seizing. The PTMEG Polyurethane bushings offer a moderate durometer for excellent wear resistance and vibration control, unlike OEM bushings which can fail with increased suspension travel. These control arms are built for durability, featuring lower arms constructed from high-strength 1.5"x3/8" wall 1026 DOM tubing and upper arms made from solid alloy bar. The wide flange joints ensure secure bolt torque under heavy use. The arms are texture blasted before powder coating for enhanced finish durability. Fitment is for trucks with 0" to 3.5" of lift. The 1/2" longer arm length is specifically designed to accommodate 37" tires, even with wheel offsets close to factory specifications. It is important to note that for lifts between 4" and 6", shorter arms like these can significantly degrade handling and ride quality, and long arms are recommended instead. Lifts between 4" and 6" also require specific drop components that limit bump travel, unlike Thuren's 3" lifts which do not restrict bump travel.
