Controller IP66 Waterproof FlexRay/DirectPWM

The bootmod3 REV2 Controller represents a significant advancement in motorsport ECU technology, offering industry-first integration of FlexRay™ and DirectPWM. This device is engineered for reliability and performance, featuring an IP66 waterproof enclosure and a Mil-Spec motorsport-grade wiring harness. Integration with the vehicle's factory DME is achieved through the high-speed and fault-tolerant FlexRay™ protocol, a modern standard used in safety-critical automotive applications. Complementing this, the bootmod3 CustomROM V2 software enables DirectPWM, a unique strategy that repurposes a DME pin output to send a PWM signal directly to the REV2 controller via the OEM harness. This eliminates communication protocol overhead, ensuring the fastest possible control of REV2 outputs. DirectPWM is configurable for outputs such as Sequential Port Injection and Boost Control Solenoids (MAC valve) directly on the bootmod3 Map Configuration screen. The REV2 Controller itself requires no separate configuration or updates for this feature. It is designed to be installed and then forgotten, with all tuning managed through the DME using the bootmod3 Map Editor. Firmware updates, though rare, are facilitated via integrated WiFi through the bootmod3 app. The REV2 Controller is capable of managing various sensor inputs, including fuel pressure, coolant pressure, ethanol content, and more (sensors not included). Its outputs support Sequential Port Fuel Injection for up to 8 injectors, boost control solenoids, nitrous control, and methanol/water injection systems. The system also offers extensive safety features configurable through bootmod3 CustomROM V2, with over 40 custom trouble codes for ignition cut, injector cut, fuel pressure, over-boost, knock, and more. Note that the REV2 Controller requires the bootmod3 CustomROM V2 software update to function.
