The TCI Automotive 243860 is an 8-inch Drag Race Torque Converter, designed for high-performance applications up to 7500 RPM. It is suitable for various drag racing classes, including Bracket Racing, Super Gas, Sand Dragging, and Stock Eliminator. Most models feature a cast steel stator supported by an oversized cage bearing for enhanced reliability. The improved housing design reduces flex or ballooning under racing stress, contributing to more consistent elapsed times, faster reaction times, and improved durability. It includes furnace-brazed fins for increased durability, three sets of Torrington bearings for triple thrust capacity, increased strength and holding capacity of high-load sprag assemblies, and steel ballooning plates. It also features a forged steel front.
