The Sinister Diesel Coolant Filtration System addresses the issue of coolant contamination in diesel engines, which can stem from manufacturing debris, rust, and mineral deposits. These microscopic particles diminish the cooling system's efficiency and can lead to premature wear on water pump bearings and damage to critical components like the EGR cooler and oil cooler. The filter block is constructed from durable, anodized aluminum and features a blue finish, complemented by abrasion-resistant silicone hoses. It mounts directly to factory holes using a supplied bracket, eliminating the need for any drilling. The system includes two threaded inlet ports and one outlet port, along with all necessary fittings for a straightforward installation. The silicone hose fittings are pre-assembled and factory-tested to twice the recommended radiator cap pressure, ensuring reliable, leak-proof connections. Installation of the Sinister Diesel Coolant Filtration System is estimated to take approximately 2 hours, with all required hardware included. The system utilizes a WIX or CAT Coolant Filter, which can be easily replaced. Initial filter replacement is recommended at 500 miles, followed by subsequent replacements at 3,000 miles each for the next two changes. After this initial period, the filter can be replaced annually. The product is backed by a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. Note that this warranty does not cover wearable parts such as gaskets, rubber or silicone hoses, or o-rings, and is limited to manufacturing defects. Racing parts are considered final sale with no warranty.
