The SPELAB Coolant Filtration System is engineered to proactively protect your 2011-2016 Ford Super Duty 6.7L Powerstroke's cooling system. The factory cooling system can circulate damaging contaminants like casting sand, metal shavings, rust, and scale, which can lead to clogs in critical components such as the radiator, heater core, and EGR cooler, resulting in expensive repairs and overheating. This system continuously filters the coolant, safeguarding vital engine parts, extending coolant lifespan, and maintaining optimal cooling efficiency, especially under heavy load conditions. The system utilizes durable rubber hoses and aluminum fittings for reliable, leak-free performance. Installation is straightforward with a simple bolt-on process, including a custom mounting bracket and all necessary hardware, requiring no cutting or major modifications. Installation scenarios vary depending on usage. EGR removal is recommended for non-towing situations to prevent internal system wear. However, EGR removal combined with high-performance tuning, EGR removal with towing, or any high horsepower/high boost modifications will *require* this filtration system due to increased cooling demands or prolonged high-temperature operation.
