Description

During periods of high fluid expansion within the coolant expansion tank, this shield acts as a barrier, preventing antifreeze from contaminating sensitive electrical components in the engine compartment. Any fluid that does splash is captured by the shield and then safely drains back to its source via a specially designed fitting located at the bottom of the trap.
