The Superior 6R80CLRBYPAS is a cooler bypass delete kit engineered for Ford 6R60, 6R80 GEN1, and GEN2 automatic transmissions. The primary function of this delete kit is to ensure continuous cooler flow to the transmission, irrespective of the operating temperature. By eliminating the stock thermostatic assembly, it prevents potential overheating issues, thereby reducing overall transmission fluid temperature. This direct intervention in the cooling system allows for more efficient heat dissipation. An additional benefit of installing the 6R80CLRBYPAS kit is the ability to accurately check the transmission fluid level immediately after installation.
