The cp-e ∆Core Front Mount Intercooler is engineered as a performance upgrade for the Ford Fusion Sport and Lincoln MKZ 3.0T, addressing the limitations of the stock intercooler when increasing power. This front-mount intercooler (FMIC) utilizes a maximized bar and plate core measuring 29 x 6 x 5.5 inches to significantly reduce and stabilize charge air temperatures, combating heat soak during high RPM operation. The design prioritizes efficiency with low-turbulence, fully cast end tanks that minimize pressure drop and airflow disruption, helping to maintain drivability and reduce turbo lag. The brackets are CNC cut and bent for a precise fit, allowing the intercooler to mount in the stock location and align with factory intercooler piping. This bolt-in design requires no cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications to the vehicle, simplifying installation. Key features include a maximized core design for optimal cooling, minimal pressure drop, and substantially lower, more consistent charge temperatures. This intercooler is capable of producing a gain of 28 wheel horsepower and 25 ft-lbs of torque in high RPMs due to its heatsoak mitigation. Please note: This intercooler is not compatible with the Adaptive Cruise Control system. It is also not California emissions compliant and is intended for off-road use only.
