This coupling shaft is part of the Dana SPL350 driveshaft series, engineered for heavy-duty, high-efficiency on-highway trucks. It is designed to withstand the increased torque stresses associated with engine downspeeding. Key features include a High Power Density™ (HPD™) design that offers twice the bearing life as competitors and the highest torque-carrying universal joint in the industry (40% more than nearest competitor). An optional service-free design is available for enhanced maintenance and life cycle benefits. It is often integrated into a full powertrain solution alongside Dana AdvanTEK 40 tandem axles.
