It is approximately 40% heavier than WeatherShield HP, with a 300 denier fiber construction that results in almost double the tear and tensile strength. The fabric is finished with the EPIC by Nextec encapsulation process. This extreme-performance fabric is ideal for vehicles in intense sun climates, coastal regions, and for RV owners needing a cover for long-term storage. While not as compact or silky-smooth as WeatherShield HP due to its heavier fibers, it provides maximum performance in harsh environments. The WeatherShield HD uses a superior fade-resistant, solution-dye production process that conserves water. It is custom-fit for specific vehicles and features built-in urethane elastic sewn into the front and rear hems for easy installation, as well as reinforced non-scratch grommets at the bottom to protect the vehicle's paint.
