They fold to half the size of non-woven covers and and are breathable, allowing moisture and heat to escape. Utilizing Nextec, a patented encapsulation process, an ultra-thin film is placed around fabric fibers to safeguard the vehicle's interior and finish. Designed for intense sun and long-term storage, they feature heavy denier thread for maximum UV opacity. The 300 denier construction is 40% heavier than regular WeatherShield HP, providing double the tear and tensile strength. It repels water, blocks dust, tree sap, and bird droppings while remaining breathable. The base material is woven by Glen Raven Mills (Sunbrella makers) using solution-dyed UV resistant polyester fibers. The EPIC by Nextec encapsulation process uses specially formulated polymers inside the fabric to bond to individual threads and fill the valleys between woven fibers.
