The Covercraft WeatherShield HD Custom Car Cover is designed for intense sun environments and long-term vehicle storage. It utilizes a heavier 300 denier thread for maximum UV opacity, making it approximately 40% heavier than the regular WeatherShield HP. This construction provides nearly double the tear and tensile strength. The fabric is finished with the EPIC by Nextec encapsulation process, which repels water and blocks dust, tree sap, and bird droppings, while still being breathable to allow moisture and heat to escape. WeatherShield HD uses a fade-resistant solution-dye production process that is environmentally friendly, saving 1,000 gallons of water for every 1,000 yards of fabric produced. While not as compact or silky-smooth as WeatherShield HP, it offers superior performance in harsh environments.
