Durable polyester solution-dyed fabric is woven by a Nextec mill partner, then treated with pre-finishing chemistries. Nextec's proprietary equipment applies a viscous, patented mixture of silicone-based polymers into the fabric, wrapping individual fade-resistant fibers. This process fills most micro-holes, and the polymers are then cured to a solid state. This method ensures all-weather protection without sacrificing breathability or softness, as there are no laminates or surface coatings. While not fully waterproof, WeatherShield HP sheds most water and prevents dust, dirt, bird droppings, and tree sap from reaching the vehicle's surface. Its breathable properties allow heat, moisture, or condensation under the cover to escape quickly. The cover features bottom-edge elastic for a snug fit, grommets for a cable lock, and an additional grommet for a vehicle antenna.
