Cowl Stabilizer Braces

The V8 Roadsters V8R Miata Fender Braces are designed to significantly stiffen the chassis of NA and NB generation Miatas, offering a more robust solution than seam welding. By joining the thinner fender material to the unibody at four critical locations, these braces enhance torsional stiffness. The braces utilize square tubing, chosen for its superior torsion stiffness, uniform geometry, and larger cross-sectional area compared to plate or rectangular styles, providing a better strength-to-weight ratio. The main tube of the brace connects the lower door hinge, one of the stiffest points on the unibody, directly to the upper fender mounting area, which is structurally less rigid. This design effectively transfers load across the fender area and helps to eliminate flexing between the mounting points. The braces are constructed with laser-cut and CNC-formed mounting areas, TIG and MIG welded for maximum strength and durability, and finished with a powder coating in silver vain gray. Hardware is included for installation, which requires the removal of the fenders.
