Description

This piston set is designed for Big Block Chevrolet (BB Chevy) 489 Open Chamber engines. It features a 4.280" bore, 4.250" stroke, 6.385" rod, and 1.275" compression height with a 24.3cc dome. The pistons are made in the USA from 2618 forgings and include 1/16 ductile moly top ring, 1/16 second ring, 3/16 oil ring, and .990 x 2.750 or .990 x 2.930 pins with a .180 wall standard. They are intended for normally aspirated applications and have an advertised weight of 583 grams per piston. When used with 118cc heads, the compression ratio is 10.4:1.
