The Whitbread Performance 2.0L CR TDI CP3 Adapter Kit offers a solution for the common issues associated with the factory CP4 fuel pump, replacing it with a more reliable Bosch CP3 unit. This kit is specifically engineered for the 2009-2014 CBEA, CJAA, and CKRA family of TDI engines. It is designed to work with a Bosch 0445010194 CP3 pump, which is typically sourced from 2009-2012 BMW 335D or X5D vehicles. Constructed with durability in mind, the kit features a CNC-machined adapter plate made from high-strength 7075 aluminum and a 1215 steel pulley hub. The comprehensive package includes the essential components for installation: the pump adapter plate, pulley hub, a threaded adapter for the high-pressure fuel line, banjo fuel fittings, and all required nuts and bolts. For CKRA Passat models, a specific CNC-machined coolant neck is necessary as the factory neck may interfere with the CP3 pump installation. Installation requires minor re-bending of the OEM high-pressure fuel line. A quality 1/4" or 6mm tube bender is recommended for this step. While the kit can be purchased separately for those who source their own pump, an option is also available with a new Bosch pump that includes a 12-month manufacturer's warranty. An ECU tune update is strongly recommended to ensure optimal rail pressure control and to avoid fault codes after installation. When installing the high-pressure fuel outlet fitting, it is critical to transfer the spring from the OEM fitting to the new one to prevent pump failure and maintain warranty validity.
