The Genuine VW/Audi Crankcase Vent Valve (06F129101P) is designed to replace the original valve in various Audi and Volkswagen models. This component serves as a crucial one-way exit for gases that build up within the crankcase. Over time, contamination can lead to reduced airflow or cracks in the housing, potentially causing a loss of boost pressure, decreased engine performance, and rough idling. This PCV valve is specifically designed for the FSI engine, which can be identified on the 2.0T VW/Audi engine cover by the "FSI" stamp (not TFSI). It is important to note that Audi A3/TTS and all Volkswagen models require an updated breather pipe to be used with this revised pressure regulator. This updated breather pipe can be purchased separately. Fitment includes a range of Audi models such as the A3 (2006-2013), A4 (2005-2015), and TT (2008-2015), as well as Volkswagen models including the Eos (2007-2016), Golf/GTI (2006-2014), Jetta (2006-2010), and Passat (2006-2010). Specific model year and engine notes, such as chassis split dates and the "BPY" engine designation, should be confirmed with the vehicle's VIN or original part number for absolute certainty. Some 2006 models may have had mid-year updates, requiring verification with the original unit.
